‘Traveling’ is a matter close to our hearts. But what does ‘traveling’ mean?

By definition, ‘traveling’ is synonymous with ‘moving around’, first of all spatially. But ‘traveling’ also means experiencing, exploring, discovering, conquering. The traveller gets involved in new experiences: unknown countries, foreign cultures, unique landscapes, great nature, distinctive people and experiences of a culinary nature. He collects unforgettable encounters and impressions, is surprised by the unexpected, is open to originality and adventure. ‘Traveling’ thrives on the special, also on the unpredictability, is valuable, intense, and inspiring. And often a challenge too. By actively exploring and unbiased discovery of a destination, the traveller expands his horizons, his awareness, and shapes his character. As Mark Twain once said: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness”. Anyone who visits foreign continents such as Africa or South America, countries such as India or Kyrgyzstan and looks at them with new eyes is open and understanding for their perspective and way of life and expands its own knowledge: “One must travel to learn” –  Mark Twain. ‘Traveling’ means not only spatial movement, but also a development of mental attitude.
